War-Torn Emea: Unleashing the Region’s Hidden Potential

A contex of wars undermines the potential of the Emea region

A context of wars undermines the potential of the Emea region. It emerged during the work presentation forum of the second edition of Act Tank Sicily, the permanent platform launched by The European House – Ambrosetti in 2021 with the aim of boosting the region’s growth, currently taking place at the Marina Convention Center.

Antonello Piraneo, the director of La Sicilia, the newspaper owned by the Ciancio family, participated in this initiative.

The crisis in the Red Sea and the conflict with Hamas led Israel to establish an emergency land bridge that traverses the heart of the region, passing through the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan to the north of the country.

This bridge aims to prevent attacks by the Houthi rebels and safeguard sensitive cargo around the Cape of Good Hope. The Israeli startup Trucknet plays a key role in this project.

Additionally, JpMorgan’s top management has appointed Filippo Gori from Arezzo as the Ceo for the Emea area, as a signal of the need to invest in skills and quality for the development and stability of the area. (Sergio Scialabba)
