Created by the industry, for the industry, The 2025 Golden Vines Report (formerly known as The Gérard Basset Global Fine Wine Report) is now available for free download.

Over 830 fine wine and rare spirit professionals from more than 110 countries, with an average of 18 years’ experience, participated in The 2025 Golden Vines Report Survey.

They shared their views on industry trends and submitted nominations for The 2025 Golden Vines Awards, which took place in Miami, USA, on 8 November 2025.

This year, a remarkable pool of voters was made up of more than 41 MWs, 31 MSs, 58 Advanced Sommeliers, and 240 DipWSET and 37 ASI Diploma holders.

The survey determined the winners of eight 2025 Golden Vines Awards Winners.

The 2025 Grant Macdonald Best Fine Wine Producer in Europe Award Winner: Weingut Egon Müller (Mosel Valley, Germany). The 2025 Akerman Best Fine Wine Producer in the Americas Award Winner: Harlan Estate (Napa Valley, California, USA).

The 2025 Maison Mura Best Fine Wine Producer in the Rest of the World Award (Australasia, Africa, Asia & Middle East) Award Winner: Henschke (Eden Valley, Barossa Valley & Adelaide Hills, Australia).

The 2025 Robb Report World’s Best Fine Wine Producer Award Winner: Vega Sicilia (Ribera del Duero, Spain).

The 2025 Slate Aviation World’s Best Rising Star Award Winner: Mullineux & Leeu (Swartland, South Africa). The 2025 Amorim Cork Innovation Award Winner: Rosa Kruger, The Old Vine Project, South Africa.

Additionally, one other Golden Vines Awards was awarded by The 2025 Golden Vines Sustainability Award Judging Panel: The 2025 Frédéric Panaïotis Sustainability Award Winner: Corison (California, US).

Weingut Egon Müller and The Macallan have both secured their third win in their respective categories, earning the prestigious 2025 Golden Vines All-Star Producer status.

This achievement means they will be ineligible to win the same category again for the next 10 years, though they remain eligible in other categories.

This rule ensures continued diversity among future winners while recognising sustained excellence by repeat winners.

The Golden Vines Report maps the micro and macro trends shaping the fine wine and rare spirit sectors.

It tells us which regions are trending, and identifies the world’s best producers of fine wines and rare spirits across eight Award Categories.

The 2025 Golden Vines Report has now given birth to an exciting new industry association, The Golden Vines Academy – the world’s preeminent fine wine and rare spirit related community, comprised of 750-plus accomplished individuals and professionals working in the fine wine and rare spirit universe.

The Academy is dedicated to upholding excellence in the fine wine and rare spirit industries and acts as a definitive pool of qualified industry experts which define The Golden Vines Awards Winners.
