Today, the University of Catania held the Solemn Ceremony for the Opening of the New Academic Year.
The event began with the traditional Historical Procession inside the Santo Mazzarino Aula Magna of the Monastery of the Benedictines.
The ceremony featured institutional addresses by Rector Enrico Foti and Director General Corrado Spinella, followed by the contributions of the student representatives, who offered their perspective on the academic community and its future challenges.
The highlight of the event was the Lectio Magistralis delivered by Ambassador Mariangela Zappia, titled “Fragmentation: an inevitable destiny or a choice?”. (Redazione)
