Perfect teeth aside, someone lost his smile in the last 48 hours. Cristiano Ricciardi, known as the ‘dentist of VIPs’, was arrested in Benevento, Campania.
The doctor had gone to the local prison to visit an inmate serving a long sentence for mafia‑related crimes – but he leaned over the patient’s chair a little too much and ended up in it himself.
During the security check, police officers found 93 grams of hashish, divided into small packets and hidden inside a bottle of mouthwash.
Instead of carrying out the scheduled dental visit, Ricciardi was arrested and placed under precautionary measures.
The investigating judge ordered that he report to the police station every day. (Redazione)
