MSC Family Pushes for Acquiring Alpitour, Including Neosair

“MSC Still Interested in Neos Air?

The merchant bank TIP had exercised its right of pre-emption in recent days on about 36 percent of the shares held by Andrea Ruben Levi in Alpitour World, taking them away from Gianluigi Aponte, who from there would have initiated his gradual climb in Alpitour.

However, in Geneva, within the entourage of the family that owns MSC, there are still those who push for the dialogue with Giovanni Tamburi not to stop.

The global navigation giant has shown interest in acquiring Alpitour, the largest Italian tour operator.

This move is part of MSC’s strategy to expand its presence in the tourism sector, where it already operates through brands such as Cisalpina, Blu Vacanze, and Going.

Alpitour, based in Turin, controls various travel-related businesses, including the airline Neos, specializing in charter flights. The acquisition would allow MSC to further strengthen its position in the travel and tourism market. (Sergio Scialabba)
