Interpretation of a statement can be influenced by personal views, human condition, or previous facts.

A simple joke or provocation can be perceived differently by different people. It is important to consider the context and the speaker’s intention when interpreting a statement.

That’s what happened for a page of La Voce, the newspaper founded by Indro Montanelli, which alluded to the tragic events of World War II and made the Jewish journalist Clemente J. Mimun feel involved.

Another journalist Vittorio, father of photographer Fabrizio Corona, drew the page for being right arm of Montanelli. (Sergio Scialabba)
