On April 14, the Hungarian Parliament approved constitutional amendments that restrict LGBTQ+ rights and public gatherings, including Pride events.
These amendments were passed with a significant majority (140 votes to 21) and also introduce the use of facial recognition technology to identify and penalize violators.
Additionally, they allow the government to suspend the citizenship of individuals with dual nationality deemed a threat to national sovereignty.
The concept embodies the idea of autonomy and self-determination at the national level, while dignity reflects respect for individual rights and freedoms.
Together, they can form a foundation for policies aimed at protecting citizens and promoting values like unbiased education. (Redazione)
