Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to have a significant impact on both the economy and the banking sector. It can improve efficiencies and lower costs for payments, lending, insurance, and asset management in the financial sector.
A comprehensive perspective is also crucial as far as transparency, robustness, human-AI interaction, ethical considerations, regulation, and collaborative approaches are concerned.
The American financial giant, JP Morgan Chase and Company, has indeed shown a positive outlook towards Microsoft in this evolving landscape.
Mark Murphy, an analyst based in San Francisco who specializes in the Technology and Communication Services sectors, reiterated a Strong Buy rating on Microsoft and maintained a price target of 385 dollars.
In a survey, Microsoft was highlighted for its dominant position as tech budgets increasingly pivot towards AI, a sector expected to generate unprecedented changes in history.
The survey places Microsoft at the forefront in several critical categories, including spending intentions, most critical IT mega-vendor, cloud computing plans, future Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) market share, and as the leading platform for Generative AI (GenAI) activity.
Microsoft has also entered into a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic partnership with JP Morgan to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology.
These factors contribute to Microsoft being considered a very reliable asset by JP Morgan. This path could also serve as a source of inspiration for Europe, where there is a growing need to boost a more autonomous approach tailored to its specific environment.
