Enrico Crescimanno calls for a new cultural project in Turin

A new library will be realized with funds from the Pnrr at via Viterbo, 169 in Turin. As is known, the Municipality of Turin plans to complete the project that will bring to 20 those scattered in the shadow of the Mole.

This project is a testament to the city’s commitment to repurposing industrial sites for modern uses.

The conversion of a former industrial building into a library is a prime example of this commitment. It not only breathes new life into an abandoned space but also reduces environmental impact by reusing existing structures.

The library, set to become a new cultural hub in Circoscrizione 5, is expected to have a significant influence on the local community.

Cultural hubs like this one serve as gathering places, promote learning and creativity, and contribute to the social development of the community.

Interventions for 4 million euros are planned for the project. These funds will facilitate the transformation of the industrial building and the creation of the cultural hub.

While the work continues, Enrico Crescimanno, the president of District 5, had sent a letter to urge a more accurate restructuring of the street.

A segment of about 20 meters of sidewalk was in inadequate conditions, negatively impacting the aesthetics and functionality of the road.

In fact, the stretch of sidewalk between numbers 154 and 156, already dilapidated and without a containment wall in border with a private land, had been temporarily protected with a safety net.

During the installation of the net, the technical offices had imposed on the landowner to build a boundary wall.

Subsequently, the need to contact again the owner of the neighboring land and proceed with the due measures had emerged.

This highlights the attention to detail and the commitment to creating a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment around the new library.

In conclusion, this project represents a significant step forward in Turin’s efforts to repurpose industrial sites and create influential cultural hubs for community development. (Redazione)
